About Windows Security Warning

You may see a security prompt on first run - this is normal.

Windows Defender SmartScreen shows warnings for new software because our app is recently released and hasn't built up enough "reputation" yet. This doesn't mean the software is unsafe.

Our software is completely safe. As our user base grows, we will purchase a code signing certificate to eliminate such warnings.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why do I see a security warning?
Our software is newly released, and Windows SmartScreen needs time to build "reputation". This is normal for new software and doesn't mean it's unsafe. We plan to purchase a code signing certificate in the future to eliminate this warning.
Q: Is the software safe?
Completely safe. Our software doesn't collect sensitive information, doesn't modify system files, and only accesses Nuke-related directories. The core code will be open-sourced soon for anyone to review.
Q: What if my antivirus software flags it?
Some antivirus software may show false positives because the software uses PyInstaller (a common Python packaging tool). You can add the software to your antivirus whitelist.
Q: How do I uninstall?
Simply delete the GizmoManager.py file from your .nuke directory and remove the related import code from menu.py.
Q: What if installation fails?
